Human Kind is based on the principle that wellness and total health doesn't simply end at the physical body. Our goal is to provide our clients with collaborative care that encompasses the whole of you, mind, body, and spirit.
Human Kind was born out of the collaborations of Kathy Crane and Noel Crane Baker in 2016. The practice has evolved to include mental health counseling, yoga, and mindfulness meditation courses. Human Kind is dedicated to serving diverse populations, which includes adults, teens, and children. Currently, we are partnered with Rockwall County to provide counseling services for at-risk teens, working with families to facilitate improved family functioning and support, and educating teens on social and emotional health. Our mission is to help others fulfill their true potential through access to services that not only look at what is the issue, or what is wrong, but what are the strengths and gifts that one contains and can draw upon.
NOEL Crane Baker, MS, LPC, E-RYT
Noel Crane Baker received her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The University of North Texas in 2015 after studying Studio Art at The University of Texas at Austin. Noel is trained as a Registered Yoga Teacher as well as a Mindfulness Trainer, working with individuals, groups, and corporations to implement mindfulness into their daily lives. She specializes in working with anxiety, eating disorders, body image, and teens and tweens.
KATHY CRANE,MS, LPC, NCC
Kathy Crane received her Masters of Science in Human Relations and Business Development from Amberton University in 2006 and her Masters of Science in Counseling from A&M University - Commerce in 2012. Kathy is trained in Play Therapy and Sand Tray Therapy with Dr. Stephen Armstrong of A&M in addition to having training in mindfulness. She believes wholeheartedly in the words of Mother Teresa, 'There are no great things, only small things with great love.'

INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP PSYCHOTHERAPY
Individual sessions are designed to honor your unique story and aide you in finding the answers you seek. We believe that each person has the answers within and simply needs a safe and accepting environment to build trust in their ability to navigate the world. In individual therapy, we look at the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that are shaping your life, and seek out tools to aide with the fear and shame that accompanies being human at times.
Group therapy is a wonderful addition to individual work, in that the group is a safe space to find support, understanding, and collaboration.
ONLINE PARENTING AND WELLNESS COURSES
Online courses are resources available to clients who want to extend their learning beyond weekly sessions. Our courses are currently offered on parenting and wellness, please check the E-course page to find out more.
Are you too busy to drive across town and meet with a therapist face-to-face for an hour a week? Then you should try something new in therapy. It’s called online therapy. Whether you are at home or on-the-go, experience the convenience of live video therapy on your laptop or smartphone with an LPC - Licensed Professional Counselor. As long as you have internet, you can speak with your therapist. Sessions are only 45 minutes long and you can schedule as many or as little as you need. INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP MINDFULNESS COURSES
According to Jon Kabat-Zinn, mindfulness is, “paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment, without judgment.” Learning to pay attention on purpose without judgment releases us from fighting with ourselves. We learn to observe the fluctuations of thoughts and feelings, rather than react to them.

Yoga at Human Kind is based on gentle, mindful movement that soothes and stretches the body, as well as breathwork that aides with regulation of the stress response.
